Elegant Barn wedding at The 1908 House

Outside the small quaint town of Hatton, North Dakota, nestled into the rolling landscape, Krista and Marcus started on their journey of marriage at The 1908 House. It was a warm June day, filled with the sounds of birds, a slight breeze and the joyous celebration of two souls becoming one. Against the backdrop of rolling hills and sprawling valleys, their sage green and navy-themed wedding brought a burst of color and vibrancy to the serene countryside. It made it all tie in together with the summer vibe.

Krista got ready in the Bridal suite that is absolutely picture ready, we're talking lots of windows and natural light; did I mention white walls to bounce light off of? The couple decided on not seeing each other until their ceremony and Krista walked down the aisle. Let me tell you, I am a SUCKER for first looks. Mainly because I know the feeling of seeing your spouse for the first time on your wedding day, it is a feeling like no other. Krista is SO organized and she had all of her details in a beautiful box ready for me to capture.

The Ceremony

The 1908 House, with its timeless charm and rustic elegance, served as the perfect setting for Krista and Marcus to exchange vows over looking the valley. The warm weather beat down on the grass as the clouds were there for occasional cover, but the overall day was perfect for weather and for photos. Marcus and his grooms men opted into the shade cover for their groomsmen photos and the girls picked the valley. Hiding from one another Krista peaked in and out of the bridal suite until it was time for the ceremony. The couple had two close family members up for the readings and they had lots of great inside humor. The breeze was a LITTLE to strong and lighting the unity candle was a bit tricky :) We all got a good chuckle.

The ceremony itself was a sight to behold, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the valley. As Krista walked down the aisle, her eyes filled with joy with her dad (who also their personal handshake / dance is the CUTEST thing every) Marcus stood waiting, his smiling overflowing with giddy made my heart melt, Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they exchanged heartfelt vows, promising to stand by each other through thick and thin, in sickness and health, for all the days of their lives.

A White Tent North Dakota Reception

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued under the large white tent (which The 1908 House supplies for weddings!), where laughter and joy filled the air. The reception was a lively affair, with guests mingling and dancing the night away. The tent, adorned with twinkling lights and elegant decor, provided the perfect ambiance for an evening of merriment and celebration.

As the evening drew to a close, Krista and Marcus stole a quiet moment together for sunset pictures, reflecting on the whirlwind of emotions that had enveloped them throughout the day. From the exchange of vows to the heartfelt toasts and joyous laughter, every moment was etched in their hearts forever.

Their wedding was not just a celebration of love, but a testament to the bond they shared and the journey they were creating together. Surrounded by the love and support of their friends and family, Krista and Marcus stepped into married life <3
